Mable Burns(1926 - 2014)

Burns, Mable F.

Mable F. Burns, age 87, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her residence. She was born on September 6, 1926 in Dale, WI to the late Albert and Ora (Rucks) Schnyder. Mable was married to Albert Burns on August 10, 1946 in Oshkosh, WI.

Mable graduated from high school and went on to work at Park View Health Center for 27 years as a certified nursing assistant. She was a charter member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Church and enjoyed quilting at the church.

Mable is survived by her two sons, Michael and Daniel (Vesta) Burns both of Oshkosh; daughter, Gail Burns of Oshkosh; brother, Albert Schnyder of Oshkosh; sister, Dorothy Miller of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Patrick and Allison Burns, and Jodi (Matt) Hanson; and five great grandchildren, Corey, Payton, Nick, Ava, and Rica. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Burns; brothers and sisters in law, Jackie Snyder, Bernie Miller, and Jack (Dorothy) Burns; and special friends, Max and Hochimahn.

A funeral service for Mable will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Andrew's Evangelical Church with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.

Memorials can be made out to St. Andrew's Evangelical Church (1100 E. Murdock Ave.).

The family would like to send a special thank you to Rev. Karen Jewell, Aurora Visiting Nurses Assoc., and to Park View Health Center for all the love and care they provided for Mable.
