Robert J. Schultz "Pops" age 81, of Oshkosh, died peacefully Saturday evening surrounded by family and dear friends, May 31, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1933, in Oshkosh, the son of Elmer and Darling (Brown) Schultz. Bob was a Veteran
of the U.S. Army
. He married Patricia "Pat" (Buhrow). She preceded him in death in 1977. Bob was an amazing, loving, devoted father. He was charged with the task of raising his young family by himself after the death of his wife. He was a mentor to his children and taught them by example. He was hardworking, dedicated to his family, and enjoyed all the time he spent with them. Bob had a great sense of humor and enjoyed his morning scratch off lottery tickets and playing games with his best friend, Dan Schultz. He was also known for his famous "orange spaghetti", and his infamous Packers' Christmas tree. Lastly, his faithful canine companion "Stitch" who was always by his side, meant the world to him.
Bob was deeply loved and will be missed by his children, Wanda Schultz, Randy (Laura Scherr), Michelle (Bruce) Ahrens, Marcia (Ken Ricker); grandchildren, Nathan Schultz, Tom Senn, Susieanna Senn, Ben and Blake Ahrens, Evan and Erin Schultz.; loving sister, Florence "Flossy" Bush; best friend, Dan Schultz, other relatives including nieces Barb Mitchell and Linda Burns who gave him the nickname "Eubie", and other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia "Pat", daughter, Sheila and sister, Elaine Raddatz.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Bob will be laid to rest next to his wife at Lake View Memorial Park with full military honors immediately following the service.
