Ruby Schulz, 96, Neenah, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2013, at Alten Haus Assisted Living, in Neenah. She was born on December 22, 1916, daughter of Ingwald Petersen and Lillis (Chilson) Safford. Ruby was united in marriage with George Schulz in September 15, 1937. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1962. She owned and operated the Raveno Ballroom for many years, and was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah.
Ruby is survived by her three grandchildren: George Kiesow, Milwaukee; Timothy (Cindy) Kiesow, Saint Germain; and Kelly (Greg) Polman, Appleton; nine great grandchildren: Sydney and Hayden Sokolowski-Kiesow, Hunter, Tatton, and Tanner Kiesow, Henry (Amy) Tellock, Melissa Tellock, Aaron and Allison Polman; two great great grandchildren: Makenna and Chloe Tellock; a foster daughter: Beverly Vande Walle;and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ruby was further preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law: Patricia (Ralph) Kiesow; two brothers: Floyd (Gladys) Petersen and Kenneth Petersen; and a sister: Ruth (Leo) Haber.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. on Friday until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Ruby's name.
