Beyer (Novotny), Arlyle J.

Arlyle J. (Novotny) Beyer, age 91, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Bethel Home.

Arlyle was born on June 2, 1922 in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late William Sr. and Marion (Cross) Novotny. She graduated from Oshkosh High School. She worked at the Lieber Lumber Co. as a bookkeeper for many years. After she retired she also worked at Miles Kimball as a typist for a few years. She married Hubert "Bud" Beyer on November 26, 1942.

Arlyle was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She loved watching the packers and playing bingo. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and Hawaii.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Hank) Weyers of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Diane (Lee Barthels) Nelson of Oshkosh and David Miller of Columbus; step great-grandchild Ethan Barthels; a niece Julie (David) Hallock of N.C.; and great-nephew and niece Justin and Shauna Hallock both of Appleton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law William (Ginny) Novotny Jr.; daughter, Joyce Fenn; sons-in-law, Darrell Fenn and Harry (Judy) Nelson; and grandchildren, Debbie (Don) Schwartz and Ricky Miller; and great-granddog Chelsey.

A memorial service for Arlyle will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Bethel Home Chapel (225 N. Westfield St.) with Chaplain David Rumbold officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m until the time of the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home for all the care that Arlyle received.
