Diane Mary Steeps, age 76, of Berlin, died suddenly and peacefully on Wednesday afternoon March 6, 2013 at the Appleton Medical Center.
Diane was born on February 24, 1937 in Berlin the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Polakowski) Doro.
She married James (Jim) R. Steeps on November 14, 1959 at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church of Berlin, Jim preceded her in death on September 15, 2003.
Diane is a graduate of the Berlin High School with the class of 1955.
She was employed as a Stitcher for the Sager Glove Co. and the Safeguard America Co. of Berlin for many years.
She is a faithful member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin and the Ladies Sodality (C.C.W.) of the Parish.
Diane was a loving and caring person who will be sadly missed by all and especially by her sister Margaret as they were always seen doing everything together and were known to be almost joined at the hip, so to speak.
Survivors include her beloved sister, Margaret Schramer of Berlin, her special nieces and nephews, Brian (fiancée Beth Miller) Schramer of Waukau, Bruce (Mallisa) Schramer of Peyton, Co., Becky Schramer of Wild Rose, Jon (Amy) Moriarty of Berlin and Patrick(Lisa) Moriarty of Eureka, her sister in law and brother's in law, Karen (Richard) Moriarty of Berlin and Michael and Phillip Steeps, also other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jim.
Funeral Services with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin with the Very Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating and burial will follow beside her husband Jim at the Saint Stanislaus Cemetery of Berlin.
Immediately following the services at the Cemetery all are invited to a dinner and fellowship at the Berlin V.F.W. hall.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Diane on Monday March 11, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m., and may also call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m., before we leave for the services at the church.
