Seaman Sr., Donald C.

Donald C. Seaman Sr. 70, of Berlin, died peacefully with his family beside him on Friday evening, November 30, 2012 at his home.

He was born on July 22, 1942, in Berlin, the son of Carl and Joan (Lesniak)-Smasal Seaman.

He was a graduate of the Berlin High School with the class of 1960.

He married Nancy L. Pike on September 9, 1961, at Saint Michael's Catholic Church of Berlin.

Don was employed as a machinist at the Rockwell International Corp. of Oshkosh, he was also a mechanic at the West Side Garage of Berlin and had worked part time for Krause's Service Inc. of Berlin.

He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin and also the Holy Name Society of the Parish.

Don was a kind and caring person who lived his faith, he was also a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to his entire family and will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Nancy; his daughters, Lori Burns and Shari (Rob) Krause both of Berlin; his sons, Donald Jr. (Butch) (Wendy) Seaman and Kenneth (Linda) Seaman both of Berlin; brothers, Bernard (Nancy) Seaman of Almond; and Richard (Louise) Seaman of Berlin; and a special person he thought of as his brother, Ken Pike of Berlin; sisters, Rita (Dick) Bertzyk of Wautoma; Barbara (Dave) Eagan of Berlin; Roseanne (Ronald) Roggow of Berlin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul (Dori) Abitz of Oshkosh; Ken (Chris)Pike and Clarence (Jane)Kasubaski , both of Berlin; his beloved grandchildren, Robbie and his Godson Rick Krause, Emily and Thomas Burns, Amanda (Karl) Krause, Mindy and Amber Seaman, Jennifer Klettke and Stephanie Handrich and his beloved great-grandchildren, Audrey, Kassandra and Karter Krause, Jessica and Isabella Klettke; also many nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Joan; mother and father-in-law, Ken and Betty Pike; brother, Lawrence; son-in-law, Seth Burns; stepfather, Alfred Smasal; and his brother and sister-in-law, Bob (Carol) Arndt.

Funeral services with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church of Berlin, with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating and burial will follow in the Saint Michael's Catholic Cemetery of Berlin.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin, with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 7:45 p.m., and may also visit at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m., before we leave for the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Don's memory and is appreciated.
