Karen Kramer Obituary
Kramer, Karen L.

Karen L. Kramer peacefully passed over in the early morning hours of February 17, 2014 at the age of 68 at Bethel Home where she had resided the past two years. Karen was born on January 28, 1946 in Marshfield, WI the third child of Anthony and Lenore (nee Johnson) Switlick. She was baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford, WI. Karen graduated from Omro High School, Class of 1963. She married Tommy F. Kramer in Oshkosh on June 23, 1980. They resided in Greenfield, WI. Karen and Tommy enjoyed 13 happy years, traveling, crafting, gardening and generally enjoying life until he suddenly passed in 1993 at the age of 49. Karen then moved to Oshkosh to be nearer her family. Over the years she worked for Leach Co., U W - Oshkosh, Jack Winters and Reiman Publishing until she retired in 1993 due to ill health. Karen had a keen sense of humor and an incredible amount of inner strength as she traveled through life challenged by many health issues - never complaining and showing much dignity.

Karen is survived by her sisters, Judith (Jerry) Jorgenson, Mary (Claude) Tollard, Nancy Lee, Kathleen (Elroy) Petermann, Kristine (Michael) Domer, all of Oshkosh and Elizabeth (Edward) Metzler of Shawano; brother-in-law, Terry (Judith) Kramer of Milwaukee. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and several good, loyal and longtime friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Thomas Switlick in 2000; in-laws, Clarence and Lillian Kramer; brother-in-law, Teddy Kramer; as well as her and Tom's pet "Tawny"

The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethel Home for the kind and compassionate care given to Karen over the past two years.

The funeral service will be today, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with Rev. Cathy Vander Velden officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon to the time of service. Burial will be in the Omro Cemetery.
