We were so sorry to learn of Karl's passing. He was good friends with our father (Jim Gerrits), and we always enjoyed visits with this clever, witty, kind and giving man. Condolences from the Gerrits family

Murph, Tricia, and all,
Your dad and mine (Bill Fuller) were long time friends, probably starting from the time he made the kitchen cabinets and built-in bookcases for our home. I don't know for sure the last time they saw each other, but just the same, when Karl came to my dad's memorial service, he was so emotional he couldn't stay. I was extremely touched. He must have made such a positive impact with your lives, overall. I myself only met him a few times when I was quite young, so didn't know him well, but it sounds like he was quite accomplished and versatile.
My sincere sympathy to you all,
Anne Fuller (from junior high and high school)

Karl was my brother-in-law by marriage but a brother in my heart. He was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather. We will miss his wisdom and humor. We love you Karl, rest in peace dear brother.

Uncle Karl will always be someone very special to us all. I remember the first time we picked him up at the airport. I made him a potato man out of all kinds of different food items. He told me he really liked it. He also used to let me trim his eye brows every time they visited us. I thought he grew them that way just so that I could trim them for him lol. My husband Bill will always remember him kindly. Uncle Karl was always so nice to him. He came over with a cup of coffee just to walk through our yard to see all the stuff my husband collected. They had pleasant conversation. We will miss visiting with him. He is loved by those who knew him. All our best to the family during this difficult time. We all love you.
God Bless to everyone-

Murph,Trisha,
Alot of Corps members (myself included) thought how fortunate you both were to have a father that was a "dad" and a great mentor.
I am sorry for our loss.

Karl was someone we all looked up to during his short stay in San Diego, prior to marriaging my sister, Pat. It was always so much fun visiting Karl in Oshkosh and hearing his great stories and adventures. He will be missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to have had him in their lives. Karl was a founding member of the Oshkosh Area Writers Club when it started some 10 years ago and I will remember him as a humorist, storyteller, poet....a true raconteur! I would like to think he is standing at the Pearly Gates, telling St. Peter about the time he was kicked out of kindergarten because he didn't speak English....
Please accept my deepest sympathies,
Ruth Percey, Oshkosh

Murph, Tricia and family...
We ran into Karl at a Riverside Cemetery tour 2 years ago. We had a nice discussion about our years with the Oshkosh Warriors Drum Corps. He was always a delight to talk with and had a great memeory of the past. He will be missed by so many.
How very quietly you tiptoed into our world, silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footprints have left upon our hearts.
Deepest sympathy to you all.

Karl,
was my big brother for 37 years. He and Pat spent many weekends with me trying to show a lost young man how to do the right thing in life. I hope I made him proud. I will deeply miss him with all my love rest in peace.
