Marjorie Frances Groth, age 94, of Oshkosh, passed away at Evergreen Retirement Community on Monday, June 10, 2013. She was born in Redgranite on June 6, 1919, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Allie (Barnes) Daniels. On January 28, 1940 she married her husband of 63 years, Paul Groth. She graduated from Oshkosh Teachers College and taught for over 40 years, retiring from Winneconne Community School District in 1984. Marge enjoyed travelling with her husband, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and big heart.
Marge is survived by her children: Paula (Rod) Measure, Steve (Jerilou) Groth, Mary (Walt) Domnie, all of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Jacob and Jack Measure; Jeremy, Nicole and Jason (fiancée, Melissa Rodencal) Weiland; Kristin (Daniel) Dopp, Courtney (Chris) Cummings, Derek Groth, Meghan (David) Servais, and Theresa Domnie; great-grandchildren: Brice and Owen Weiland; Thomas, Alyssa, Mason and Liam Dopp; and Ester Servais; and son-in-law, Jerry Weiland. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2003; daughter, Carol Weiland; brothers: Eddie (Doris) Daniels, William (Erma) Daniels, and Ken (Gladys) Daniels; sister, Bessie Daniels, and an infant sister.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at GRACE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 913 Nebraska St., Oshkosh, with Rev. Chadwick Graham officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Hancock Cemetery, near Wautoma.
