Richard R. "Dick" Ryckman, age 76, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center. Born on October 17, 1936, in Oshkosh, the son of the late Berwyn and Marie (Kromm) Ryckman. Dick entered into holy matrimony with Mary Diehl on May 22, 1965.
He was employed by Martin's Wrecker Services and later at Pluswood for over 30 years until his retirement in 1999. Dick enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, and car races in his leisure time.
Left to mourn his passing are his four children, Richard (Lori) Ryckman of Poy Sippi, Karen (Mike) Meyers of Oshkosh, Debbie (Larry) Stratton of Oshkosh, and Tim Ryckman of Oshkosh; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Andria (Mandy), Kayla (Ben), Mikey, Travis, Cody, Becky, Ashley, April, and Andy; one great-grandchild, Kya; his children's mother, Mary Kifer of Oshkosh; siblings, Clarence (Eva) Ryckman of Texas, Gerald (Marcella) Ryckman of Oshkosh, Marianne Mathe of Oshkosh, Patricia Knobloch of Oshkosh, Carol (Roger) Peterson of Leopolis, Judith Luedke of Weyauwega, Nancy (Mervin) Brunette of Ripon, Robert (Sue) Ryckman of Milwaukee, Elizabeth (Lee) Rank of Ripon, Dorothy Baumgarten of Gillett, Susan Rivers of Ripon, Dennis Ryckman of Oshkosh, and Mary Ellen (Gary) Koplitz of Pickett; a sister-in-law, Mary Ryckman of Oshkosh; numerous nephews, nieces, and friends; his best friend, Roger Harrington; and a special canine friend, Buddy. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Berwyn; five brothers-in-law, Elmore Baumgarten, Robert Luedke, Harold Mathe, Robert Klatt, and Arlin Passehl; and his companion, Duke.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 12:30 p.m., at Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Interment will follow the services at Lake View Memorial Park. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel.
