Doro, Rita Mary

Rita Mary Doro, age 65, of Markesan, formerly of Princeton and Berlin, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Markesan Resident Home. She was born on May 23, 1947 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital, a daughter of Arden and Evelyn (Berlowski) Doro. Rita cleaned at the Green Lake County Courthouse and also delivered newspapers. She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics basketball, bowling, swimming, track and baseball. She also enjoyed dancing, playing cards and traveling to Branson, Missouri.

Rita is survived by her mother, Evelyn Doro of Princeton; 3 sisters, Agnes Grimm of Menomonee Falls, Janet (Ray) Ristau of Redgranite, Sandy (Peter) Baures of Fox Lake; 5 brothers, Peter (Svetlana) Doro of Mays Landing, NJ, Robert (Karan) Doro of Princeton, Paul Doro of Princeton, Anthony (Chris) Doro of Princeton, Eugene (Carrie) Doro of Baraboo; 21 nieces and nephews, 4 great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arden Doro; brother, Father Michael Doro; brother-in-law, Larry Grimm.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, January 16, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:30, at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard St., in Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial for Rita Mary Doro will take place on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton with Msgr. Douglas Dushack officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
