Roy Abraham Obituary

Roy N. Abraham, 64, of Oshkosh died unexpectedly on Sunday March 11, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center.

He was born January 30, 1948 in Oshkosh to Norm and June Abraham. Roy married Patti Weber on April 13, 1991. During his lifetime, Roy worked a variety of jobs, with the last 10+ years at Lakeshore Golf Course, where he was known for his heart-warming smile and infamous "muni-dogs". Though he was a seasonal employee, he was there mentally year-round thinking of things that needed to be done. Roy had been busy helping get the course ready to open and looked forward to opening the course this week, with the rest of the Lakeshore staff. He was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post #70. Roy loved being around people and his goal in life was to help those that he could, and in any way he could. Though he had a weak heart, it was strong and filled with love. His way of helping continues now by being a donor to the Wisconsin Tissue Bank.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Patti of Oshkosh; a son Eric (Carrie) Abraham of Oshkosh; a daughter Stacey Abraham of Bradenton, FL; step-sons, Robby (Nayeli) Thoma, Nicholas (friend, Cassie Sigler) Thoma, Richard (Beth) Kettner, and Russell (Shawn) Kettner all of Oshkosh; grandchildren Makaela Thoma, Daniel Abraham, Adelyn Failing, Jimena Siller, and soon to be born Elizabeth Thoma; a sister Fay (Jerry) Steiner of Oshkosh; mother-in-law Marian Weber of Berlin; and a sister-in-law Susan Begin of Phoenix, AZ. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends too many to count. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Daniel; father-in-law James Weber; and a brother-in-law Douglas Weber.

Funeral services for Roy will be held Thursday March 15, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church (240 W. 9th Ave), Rev. Nancy Krueger officiating, military services will follow. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside from 4-8 p.m. and at the church Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.

Brother~
How will I manage without you? I just don't know. Always there for me unconditionally and any time. I was blessed to have you as my brother. We went through so very much together..the good along with the bad but that is what made our bond as brother and sister so very strong and unbreakable. I will miss your laughter, your compasion and your humor. Knowing I will never hear your voice again just breaks my heart.
Know I will be there for Patti, Eric, Carrie, and Daniel, Stacey and Adelyn. No more worries, no more pain.
Rest in Peace my brother and know the love I have for you is never ending. Until we meet again.
Fay
