Thomas (Tom) Drover, age 62, of Berlin, died peacefully at his home under the Care of Aurora VNA Hospice and his special care givers, Polly Kafer-Thomsen, best friend David "Wiskers" Walker and his family.
Tom was born on April 10 1951, in Berlin, the son of Walter and Alice Kippa Drover. He grew up in Berlin, graduating with the class of 1969 from Berlin High School, and attended UWO for 2 years. He worked as a carpenter by trade for Modern Pole Buildings and many other building projects around the Berlin area. He also enjoyed making stuff with his scroll saw. He enjoyed horseshoes, fishing and hunting and being with his many friends.
Tom is survived by, his son, Adam Drover, of Deerfield; his daughter, Lisa (Steve) Hale, of Appleton; two grandchildren, Bryce and Brendan; best friend, David Walker; one brother, Terry, of Redgranite; two sisters, Diane (Chuck) Reitzner, of Appleton; Audrey (Art) Kinzel, of Columbus, GA; brothers-in-law, Eric Schroeder, of Berlin; Lyle Thom, Wautoma; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David, and sisters, Susie Schroeder, Connie Thom and Nancy (Ed) Lang.
A Prayer service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday only from 5 to 7:30 p.m., prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
