Victor G. Klawitter, Jr. age 82 of Princeton, passed away on November 17, 2012 at Golden Living Center Continental Manor of Randolph. He was born on October 12, 1930 in Princeton, a son of the late Victor and Cecelia (Polcyn) Klawitter. Vic served in the Army from July 20, 1942 to June 28, 1945, as a Private First Class earning a Good Conduct Ribbon, a European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars and 1 Overseas Service Bar. During his working career, Vic operated the Buckhorn Bar in Princeton, was a member of the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department, the Neshkoro Lions Club and later worked as a Service Officer for the Veterans Administration of Green Lake County until his retirement.
Victor is survived by his daughter, Antoinette Kubasiak of Cedarburg; stepsons, Lawrence Florek and Robert Florek of Milwaukee; stepdaughter, Margaret (Donald) Wallin of Delavan; 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and other family and friends.Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Klawitter on February 26, 2001, and one step grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St. in Princeton. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Fr. Dale Grubba officiating. Full military honors will follow the service.
