Erdmann, Gene Howard

Gene Howard Erdmann, of Lily Lake died Monday, September 5, 2011 at his home. He was 69 years old. He was born on November 20, 1941 in Royalton, WI a son of the late Anton and Elsie (Braun) Erdmann. He married Sharon Monday on October 11, 1969 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. She survives.

He was a 1959 graduate of Winneconne High School.

He was employed at Neenah Foundry for 33 years retiring in 2001. He spent his summers at Lily Lake becoming a year round resident in 2005 and was the current president of the Lily Lake Association.

He enjoyed gardening, deer hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife survivors include five brothers, James (Dawn) Erdmann, Neenah, Gary (Cathy) Erdmann, Wittenberg, Wayne (Sandy) Erdmann, Oshkosh, Karl (Sue) Erdmann, Oshkosh, and Don (Shirley) Braun, Weyauwega; a sister, Carol Linder, Schofield; mother-in-law, Lois Monday, Appleton; a sisters-in-law, Charlotte (friend Roger) Seager, Neenah; a brother-in-law, Anthony (Diane) Monday, Neenah; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Mark (Vickie) Coenen, Wrightstown; fishing partners, Dave (Teri) Maes, Green Bay and Dan (Barb) Sprangers, Kaukauna; special friends, Mike and Sue Henderson, Pete and Marge Scardino and Bill and Carol Marquardt all of Lily Lake.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Erdmann; sister-in-law, Lynn Monday.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 12 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester with visitation Friday at the church from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. A memorial service will also be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo with visitation Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
