Binner, Edward Joseph

Edward Joseph Binner, age 83, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center. He was born in Oshkosh, on October 7, 1930, the son of the late Edward and Alice Bauer Binner. Ed married Lucille Nigl on July 16, 1949, in Camp LeJeune, N.C. He served his country in The United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and later served in The Marine Corps Reserve. Ed was employed as a Correction Officer in Waupun, WI., until the time of his retirement in 1983. He was also a member of St Michael's Catholic Church in De Pere WI.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Binner, of Oshkosh; two sons, David (Lori) Binner, Oshkosh; Thomas Binner, Wild Rose; two daughters, Paula Binner, Long Beach, CA.; Anne (Mike) Lillie, Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Anthony, Dominic, Emily, Benjamin, Jonathan, Gavin; one brother, William (Nancy) Binner, North Fond du Lac; one sister, Patti Kuhr, Appleton; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie Binner, Oshkosh. Ed is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Binner; one brother-in-law, Ralph Kuhr; and one sister-in-law, Susie Binner.

Funeral services for Ed will be in The Fiss & Bills Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven) on Saturday, March 15, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Daniel Theman officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of services.

Ed's family wishes to extend a very special Thank you to the staff at Aurora Medical Center, and The Aurora Visiting Nurses for all their care and compassion.
