Long, Edgar A. "Ed'

Edgar A. "Ed" Long was born in Michigan in 1920, to William and Hazel Long. Ed moved to Oshkosh, with his parents as a child. Ed married Janet Stelter in 1951. Ed followed in his father's footsteps working all of his life for over 34 years at the axle or better known as Rockwell International. Ed's home for a time was the house across the street from the front doors of Rockwell. Ed then grew up on the Southside of Oshkosh near Chief Oshkosh Brewery. Ed told stories of going with a bucket to get beer for his dad, boy those were the days. Ed liked to golf, snowmobile and belong to the Oshkosh boat club. Janet and Ed went through 3 boats over the years. In later life Ed and Janet loved to go to auctions, Ed worked for 3 auctioneers. Ed loved and bought many new cars. Ed is survived by his wife, Janet Long and his, nephew Robert Stamborski both of Oshkosh. Ed's nieces, Sherry Long and Leslie Hosmer. Ed's nephew Billy Long and his two sons all of Colorado. As per Ed and Janet's wishes there will be no funeral services. Burial will take place at Ellenwood Cemetery in Oshkosh. Ed's family would like to thank Katie and her staff at Century Oaks 2 and Heartland Hospice for all there help.
