Wanda L. Polster, age 72, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident. Her family was by her side. She was born on January 1, 1942 in Ashland, WI to the late James and Grace (Milligan) Kile. She was married to Donald Polster on October 15, 1960 at the Algoma Methodist Church in Oshkosh.
Wanda graduated from Oshkosh High School and worked in the bindery at Castle Pierce Printing Co. She was a terrific chef and cooked for a local sorority and fraternity for many years before working at Castle Pierce. Wanda loved to dote on her grandchildren and work in her garden with Don. She was a very creative person who enjoyed continual learning, listening to music, playing her piano, and displaying her patriotism.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Donald; children Melissa (Jeff) Raddatz of Janesville, Kevin (Sue) Polster of Germantown, Michelle (Jeff) Jonas of Green Bay, Melinda Polster of Oshkosh; sisters, Dawn (Kim Pallin) Kile, Darlene (Ashley) Stadel, and Denise (Keith) Davis; and two granddaughters, Emily Raddatz and Phoebe Polster.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers in law, and aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service for Wanda will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
