Clarence E. Plonske, age 94, of Oshkosh passed away on Wednesday afternoon, May 7, 2014, at his residence. Clarence was born in Fond du Lac, WI, on June 29, 1919, the son of August and Amelia (Becker) Plonske. He served his Country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Lorraine Spiering on July 12, 1947 in the town of Black Wolf.
Clarence is survived by his son, Gary Plonske of De Pere, WI.; three daughters, Kandis Plonske of Oshkosh; Bonnie (Mark) Drexler of Redgranite; and Paula (Timothy) Norkofski of Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Arielle and Grant Plonske; Morgan Drexler; Keith and Kaylene Norkofski. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine in 2012; one brother, Arthur Plonske; three sisters, Elsie Snyder, Helen Harmmer and Rosetta Chadwick; and one grandson, Luke Drexler.
Funeral Services will be held at the Poklasny Funeral Home at 870 W. South Park Ave on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 1 p.m. Rev. Andi Wolf will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Clarence's name.
