Hagie, Scott Allen

Scott Allen Hagie, age 33, of Oshkosh, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at Cherry Meadows Hospice, on Friday, July 18, 2014. He was born on May 9, 1981 in Oshkosh, a son of Bruce and Vicki (Oestreich) Hagie. Scott married Shanna Catherine Kaczynski in August of 2009. He graduated from Oshkosh North High School and had worked at Walgreens Pharmacy and also at Festival Foods. He greatly enjoyed fishing, gardening and time spent with Shanna and the family dog Pinecone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife, Shanna of Oshkosh; parents, Bruce Hagie of Eldorado and Vicki (Oestreich) Hagie of Oshkosh; maternal grandparents, Edgar and Myra Oestreich of Oshkosh; a brother, Chris (Heidi) Windels and their daughter, Beatrice of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Laura Jean (Scott) Mangold of Oshkosh. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers in law, cousins, other relatives and many very dear friends and the family dog, Pinecone. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Josephine Hagie.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held for Scott on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd. with the Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held for the family at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund will be established. The family wishes a sincere heartfelt thank you to the employees at both Walgreens and Festival Foods and others, for all of the support and caring during Scott's illness. Also to Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Regional Medical Center and Dr. Joseph of Intergrative Pain Management. Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Homes and Crematory of Oshkosh, assisted the family with arrangements.
