Berndt, Mary A.

Mary A. Berndt, age 59, of Omro, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her husband and daughters on Saturday evening, August 2, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1955, in Medford, WI, the daughter of Dale and Joyce (Frickenstein) Schilling. Mary moved to Omro as a young child and was a 1973 graduate of Omro High School. She married Mark "Brock" Berndt on July 27, 1979 in Oshkosh. Mary had worked for 31 years at J.I. Case/Ingersoll Equipment Co., and when it closed she went to work for National School Lines and then later Badger Federal Trucking Co. Mary enjoyed family, friends and flower gardens.

Mary is loved and will be missed by her husband of 35 years, Mark "Brock" Berndt; daughters, Kristy (Scott) Ross, Quinn (fiancé Evan Stoiber) Berndt; grandchildren, Dakota and Talin Ross; sisters, Marlene (Larry) Halverson of Medford, Sally (Randy) Freeman of Omro; brothers, Darrell (Theresa) Schilling of Omro, David (Frances) Schilling of Omro; brother in law, Gene Schug of Omro; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest sister, Judith Schug.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at the funeral home in Omro from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial in her name is being established.

The family would like to thank the Doctors and entire staff at Aurora Hospital for the excellent care given to Mary.
