Schoenberger, Jerome "Jerry"

Jerome A Schoenberger, age 80, of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday August 6, 2014. He was born December 27, 1933 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the late Charles & Leona Schoenberger. Jerry was a 1952 graduate of Oshkosh High School. He married Caryl Robertson on July 25, 1953. He worked for Coca Cola, retiring from Mercury Marine after 40 years.

Jerry enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, and spending time at his Boulder Lake cottage. After retirement Jerry & Caryl enjoyed their winters down in Myrtle Beach. He loved spending time with family and friends and made many special memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years Caryl, sister Irene (John) Wilson, his three children Mike (Gayle) Schoenberger Columbia, SC, Bob (Nancy) Schoenberger, and Debby (Kevin) Parker, all of Oshkosh, six grandchildren Garrett (Christine) Schoenberger, Michelle (Cory Helm) Schoenberger, Abby Schoenberger, Casey Schoenberger, Jay (Jen) Supple, and Kari (Travis) Bellin, seven great-grandchildren Erika Supple, Leighton Schoenberger, Madisyn Bellin, Olivia Schoenberger, Coltin Bellin, John Venters and Kylie Helm. He is further survived by a special niece Tina (Jeff) Remington, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his great-grandchild Kaitlyn Helm, and many brothers/sister-in-laws.

Services will be held at St. Jude the Apostle (St. Vincent Worship site) 1225 Oregon Street, Oshkosh on Monday August 11, 2014, with a visitation from 11am-1pm and a Mass following in celebration of Jerry's life. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jerry's name.

The family would like to express a heart-felt thank you to the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Affinity Hospice for their kind and respectful care of Jerry.
