Bruce R. Fowler, age 55, of Oshkosh, died Friday November 11, 2011 at his home. He was born in Dodgeville, WI., on August 31, 1956 the son of Bruce H. and Mary (Jungbluth) Fowler. Bruce married Patricia Egan, in Brandon, WI., on July 21, 1984. He was a Teacher at Omro High School for thirty years. Bruce loved the outdoors, hunting, teaching, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church in Oshkosh.

Survivors include his wife; Patricia Fowler, of Oshkosh, one daughter; Lauren Fowler, Oshkosh, mother; Mary Fowler, Brandon, WI., sisters; Mary E. Fowler, Arlington, VA., Marcia (Rohn) Roth, son Adam, Waukesha, WI., Martha (Bill) Leick, daughters Sarah, Michaela, Mariah, Chandler, AZ., mother-in-law; Mary C. (Egan) Locke, four brothers-in-law; Gary (Kathy) Egan, Marshall, WI., Dan (Ann) Egan, Ripon, WI., Francis (Cindy) Egan, Clintonville, WI., and Edward (Jennifer) Egan, Oshkosh, six sisters-in-law; Eileen Brandenburg, Beaver Dam, WI., Kathryn (Chuck) Axelsen, Oshkosh, Joan (Mike) Mueller, Fond du Lac, Amy (Randy) Foster, La Grange, TX., Beth (Ed) Wilke, Oshkosh, Melissa (Neal) Seagren, Cedarburg, WI. Bruce is further survived by a long-time friend Mike Lussenden, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; Bruce H. Fowler, an infant sister; Barbara, father-in-law James Egan, and brother-in-law; Dave Brandenburg.

Funeral services for Bruce will be held on Sunday November 20, at 5:00 PM in Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church in Oshkosh with the Rev. Barry Yarbro officiating. Private Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the hour of services.

Bruce's family wishes to extendappreciation to Hospice Advantage of Fond du Lac, Dr. T. Klinkhammer and his staff at Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center for all their care and compassion in Bruce's time of need. Much appreciation is extended, also, to those that placed entries on Bruce's Caring Bridge, the staff of Omro High School and the Omro Community. Bruce died feeling very loved.

In lieu of flowers a memorial in his name will be established.
