"JOE BECK" lost his battle with Cancer on Monday, May 14, 2012 at his Hilton Head Island, SC home. He was 70.

Joe Beck was born in Reading, PA on July 21, 1941. He was the son of Joseph John Beck Sr. and Virginia Beer. The oldest of 7 children, Joe grew up in Berlin, WI, learning the facts of life and the importance of Green Bay Packers football.

Joe graduated from Berlin High School in 1959 and went on to graduate from UW Madison in 1969. Joe was a proud member of the UW Alumni Association and a true fanatic of his beloved Wisconsin Badgers.

Joe was married to Kathy Kneebone from 1967 -1977. The couple lived in Middleton, WI and created three beautiful daughters together. He never remarried.

As an avid golfer, Joe spent his final years on Hilton Head Island, S.C. "Just another day in paradise," Joe would say as he raised a cocktail after playing 18 holes or after a day at the beach with his grandchildren. Joe was predeceased by his father Joseph Beck Sr, mother Virginia (Beer) Beck and his sister Roberta Beck, all of Berlin, WI.

He is survived by his brothers Jerry Beck of Neenah, WI, Jim Beck of Hilton Head Island, SC, John J. Beck of Berlin, WI; His sisters Barbara (Beck) Burmeister of Berlin, WI, Nia (Beck) John of Appleton, WI and three daughters Jodi (Beck) Witte of Varnville, SC, Jami (Beck) Cortelyou of Wesley Chapel, FL and Judi Beck of Eugene, OR. He was the beloved Grandfather of LCpl Robert J Witte of USMC, Kaneohe Bay, HI, Christopher Witte and Danielle Witte of Charlotte, NC, Gaige Cortelyou, Jayan Cortelyou and Naya Cortelyou of Wesley Chapel, FL, Kiav Cook and Raven Beck of Eugene, OR.

Graveside services will be held Saturday June 2nd at 11am at the Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin, Wisconsin 54923, those planning on attending please meet at the gravesite at the cemetery.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Sunday June 3rd from 4-6pm at Fitzgeralds, 3112 Parmenter St, Middleton, Wisconsin.
