Gary G. Williams, age 59, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, due to an apparent heart attack. Born on March 5, 1953, in Oshkosh, to Donald and Betty Lou (Laudenkios) Williams, Gary married Christine Larsen on April 19, 1977, in Oshkosh.
Having proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1970-1977, Gary was employed at Universal Foundry in Oshkosh and later was employed by Oshkosh Truck for 28 years. He was an avid sportsman with his love of nature and the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were favorite activities for Gary. Family weekend get-togethers in Tomahawk, with campfires and great fishing expeditions, were especially important to Gary. He also enjoyed Packer games and an occasional casino trip. He was a member of Otter Street Fishing club.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 35 years, Christine Williams of Oshkosh; parents, Betty Lou and Don Williams of Neenah; grandfather, George Williams of Oshkosh; siblings, Diana J. (Tom) Schultz of Appleton, Larry R. (Karen R.) Williams of Waupaca, Bruce D. Williams of Big Falls, Karen Sue Williams of Oshkosh, and John P. (Deb) Williams of Hartford; mother-in-law, Joan Larsen of Oshkosh; two sisters-in-law, Diane Lichterman of Oshkosh and Janice (Don) Adams of Rockledge, Florida. Gary is further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and father-in-law.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held at the funeral chapel from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
