Philip Dean Baxter, age 78, of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday evening December 22, 2012 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 26, 1934 in Redgranite the son of Gaylord and Sadie (Barrington) Baxter.
He was a graduate of the Princeton Grade School and the Princeton High School and went on to the Fox Valley Technical College for two years.
Phil served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He married the love of his life Donna Briski on April 18, 1959 at Saint Michael's Catholic Church of Berlin.
Phil was a Plumber by trade and had worked for Hotmars of Princeton, R and S. Plumbing of Princeton and Sears Plumbing of Berlin and after Sears closed he worked in maintenance for the Berlin School System for 15 years.
He was a great husband and father, that was always there when needed and he loved spending time with his family, especially after his retirement. He is a member of the All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin.
Survivors include his beloved wife Donna, two daughters, Deborah (Michael) Beaman of Oshkosh and Tammy Baxter of Berlin, one son, Jeffrey(Brenda) Baxter of Berlin, four grandchildren, Jeremy (Jamie) Baxter, Jason Baxter, Casie Beaman and Nicholas (fiancée Lacey)Beaman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father in law, Isador and Irene Briski, two brothers, Merritt and Barry and one sister, Audrey Fink.
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with the Rev. Jerome Maksvytis officiating and burial will follow in the Saint Michael's Catholic Cemetery of Berlin.
Relatives and friends may visit and pay their respects to the family on Friday December 28, 2012 from 9 to 11a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin.
A memorial has been established to the Berlin Veterans Foundation in Phil's memory.
