Robert P. (Bob) Schry, 88, of Berlin, died peacefully with his family beside him on Friday January 11, 2013, at the Prairie Place of Ripon.
Bob was born on March 25, 1924, in Berlin, the son of Peter and Julia (Fralish) Schry.
He had attended Berlin High School. Bob married Juanita Lipke on June 28, 1947 at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church of Berlin.
He was employed by the Berlin Tannery, Speed Queen Corp., Wisconsin Axle, and then the Waushara County Highway Department as an equipment operator for 18 years until his retirement.
His enjoyments in life were mainly his wife and children and grandchildren but he also loved to work on automobiles and he also pretty much wore the remote control out watching old western movies.
He is a former member of Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church of Berlin.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Juanita, currently residing at the Prairie Place of Ripon; one daughter, Christine (Gary) Wittchow of Ripon; and one son, Norbert (Julieann) Schry of Oshkosh; one sister, Donna (Robert) Kwidzinski of Berlin; also six grandchildren, Michelle, Gregory, and Todd Schry and James, Christa and Jon Erdmann; also 11 great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of downtown Berlin with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Mattern officiating and Inurnment will be in the Shead Island Cemetery.
