Paulson, Carol Mae

Carol "Bot" Paulson, 77, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born Carol Mae Graska on January 16, 1935, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Kloiber) Graska. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and two older siblings Gerald A. Graska and Elaine (Graska) Brechlin as well as her dear friend, Shirley Gohlke.

On October 23, 1954, she married her best friend, Clifford G. Paulson, at Sacred Heart Church in Oshkosh. Immensely devoted to her family, Carol was a loving wife and mother. She took great pride in watching her two daughters grow and have families of their own. Carol lovingly supported her daughters and grandchildren in any endeavor they undertook. This meant Carol was frequently the first in line to attend soccer games, dance recitals, and graduations throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Carol loved to use her extraordinary cooking and baking talents to make wonderful productions for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthdays. Her greatest joy was gathering her family and friends, especially Barb, Carla, Janice, Jeanne and Susie for a great meal that usually entailed hours of stories, games, and laughter. On top of her gifts in the kitchen, Carol had a natural singing ability and love of music. She frequently used her vocal talents to entertain her family and the elderly throughout Oshkosh. She was a kind and gentle woman; her love and generosity knew no boundaries.

Carol's love will live on in those who survive her, including her husband, Clifford Paulson; two daughters, Le Anne (Karl) Newell and Rox Anne (Todd) Schultz; and nine precious grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Sean, Meghan, Erin, and Caitlin Lennon, Amanda, Shane, and Carol's buddy Montana Schultz, and Alex and Claire Newell; as well as her four-legged love, Louie.

As per Carol's wishes a private family service was held in her honor.
