Dehn, Donna

Donna Jane Dehn, age 92, joined her Heavenly Father on January 19, 2013. Donna, the daughter of Arthur and Mima Newton, was born Wisconsin on November 27, 1920. She was united in marriage to Lester Dehn December 16, 1939 and they raised five children while living in Oshkosh. Donna and Lester enjoyed traveling, both long and short trips, to visit family and friends.

Donna worked for Miles Kimball Company for many years. However, she will best be remembered for the 27 years she volunteered at Mercy Hospital. Her greatest joy was her family, Leroy, Larry and triplets; Jim, Judy and Jack. In recent years Monday and Wednesday meant lunch at The Delta with her children. She looked forward to seeing the Delta staff and bumping into dear friends. For Donna, the most special day of the year was her birthday. Each year her family gathered to celebrate with her. Each Christmas Donna set up her Christmas village, and was happy to show it neighbors and friends. Donna was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. She always enjoyed being near or on the water, well into her 80's.

Survivors include her sons Larry (Verchelle), Jack (Carol), James, a daughter Judy (Ron) Nemitz; a daughter-in-law Judy Dehn, Oshkosh; 12 grandchildren, Wendy Roland, Laura (Scott) Schneider, Renee (Larry) Ratazcheck, Michael (Dawn) Nemitz, Deborah Binkowski, Daniel (Jennifer) Dehn, Julie Nemitz, Bryan (Ronya) Dehn, Missy Moleski, Shelly (Nick) Quast, Eric Schumacher, and Carrie Garp; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nieces , nephews and many friends. Donna was preceded in death by her husband; sisters; Theil, Dorothy, Edith; brothers, Wayne, Neil, Edwin; her son, Leroy; a grandson and a great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., with Reverend Ralph Hanusa officiating. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park. At time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Zernzach; Diann and her wonderful staff at Arborview Manor and the staff at Oakwood Manor, for the kindness and care they gave Donna over the past three and a half years. A special thank you to Kari for your care, support, and compassion, not only for Donna, but her family as well.
