Betty Lou (Eckstein) Olson passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 into the loving arms of Jesus with her family by her side. Betty was born May 14, 1925 to Ludwig and Bertha (Niemuth) Eckstein at the family farm near Allenville, WI.
On August 2, 1941 she married William J. (Bill) Olson. They shared 45 years together before Bill passed away on February 21, 1987.
Betty enjoyed being with church groups and other support groups. Most of all she enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She loved to take pictures at all the gatherings. She was the Family Photographer.
Betty is survived by her children: Gloria (Robert) Millard; William S. (Jean) Olson; Gwen (Tom) Hoehne; Jerry (Debra) Olson; John (Laurie) Olson; and Roger (Marion) Olson; her grandchildren: LouAnn (fiancé John Watruba) Steffens; Nancy (Pete) VanDyke; Lisa (Todd) Pitsch; Andrew (Jacci) Millard; Sharon Eake Klein; Jeremy (Desiree) Olson; Elizabeth Olson; Adam (friend Amanda) Olson; Steve (Noelle) Hoehne; Tammy (Tom) Nelson; Jenny (Eric) Seiler; Megan (friend Robie) Olson; Christopher (friend Kalene) Olson; Vernon (Kellie) Lee; Joshua Olson and Derek Starnes.
She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Leah (Terry) Sonnenberg; Corey (Alissa) VanDyke; Stephanie and Heather Pitsch; Nathaniel and Austin Millard; Nolan and Ava Olson; Brock, Jada, and Larkin Hoehne; Tyler and Trista Nelson; Christian, Ella and Grace Seiler; Benjamin and Marissa Lee; Jericho Olson; and Nickolas DeBoer; great-great-grandchildren: Jackson and Elliemira Sonnenberg; as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bill; her parents; her husband's parents: Steve and Anna Olson; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Delharte Eake; great-grandson, Lance Steffens; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Olson; brothers and sisters-in-law, William (Hattie); Oscar (Elisa); Abe, Sr. (Ethel); Lewis (Pat); and Waldo; sisters: Grace and Myrtle (Merle) Lee; in-laws: David (Eleanor) Olson; Robert (Helen) Olson; nieces and nephews: Ginger Olson Heinz; Doris Eckstein; Wanda McMillian; LeRoy (Vera) Eckstein; Arlin (Amy) Eckstein; Merton (Marvis) Lee; Ronald Schmidke; Audrey (Alvin) Thums; and Arlin Kellerman.
The funeral service for Betty will be held at 11:00 A.M on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Rd., Neenah, Rev. Stephen Dietzler officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Inurnment will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester.

Mom, you were the rock that held us together. Your love for all of us will be with us forever. We will miss you and your hugs. Now it is time for God to Bless you with peace and take you in His arms.
