Leonard John Schrock, age 81 of Redgranite, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
Leonard was born June 12, 1932 in Berlin, a son of Charles and Amelia (Strebelinski) Schrock. He married Saima Sharon Sonja Schrock on December 12, 1953 in Wautoma. Saima preceded Leonard in death on November 30, 2003 following almost 50 years of marriage.
Leonard was raised and educated in Berlin, and farmed there prior to his marriage. He moved to Redgranite when he married Saima, and has lived there since that time.
Leonard worked as a industrial painter at the Berlin Foundry, and then at Realist Corporation (David White) in Berlin, until he retired at age 65.
He loved his grandchildren as well as his entire family and tractors (blue Fords). Leonard enjoyed farming, staying active, and keeping busy-especially doing outdoor work, and lawn mowing. He was a loving, sharing person. Everyone was welcome in his home. In his earlier years, he played guitar and accordion, and sang with his brother, Larry.
Survivors include his sons and daughters: Terry (Dan) Gallego, Judie (Don) Taylor, and Leonard (Nancy) Schrock, all of Redgranite, Lisa (Mark) Theriaque of Washburn, WI, Scott Schrock of Redgranite, and Stacy (Jim) Bryant of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Evelyn (Joe) Hoppa and Barbara Tessaro, both of Berlin, Joyce (the Late David) Kasuboski of Ripon, and Donna (David) Krentz of Neshkoro. Leonard is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Janice Schrock of Ripon, and Byrdie Jensen of Redgranite, many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many good friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Saima, his parents, 2 sisters, Christina Schrock and Grace Zwolski, and 2 brothers, LeRoy Shrock and Larry Shrock.
SERVICES: The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Joseph Mattern at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, July 10th. at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Redgranite. Following the Mass, Leonard will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Saima in the Redgranite Foster Road Cemetery.
VISITATION: Relatives and Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning only prior to the Mass at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Redgranite.
The Ruminski Funeral Home of Redgranite is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials will be appreciated in place of flowers.
