Celosky, Christopher John

Christopher John Celosky, age 63, of Redgranite, formerly of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at his home.

Chris was born May 15, 1950, in Chicago, a son of Joseph and Josephine (Vesley) Celosky. He was raised and educated in Chicago. He served in the United States Navy briefly in his younger years until he was discharged for reasons of health.

He was employed as a machine operator at Union Carbide/Viskase in Bedford Park, Illinois for 24 ½ years. He lived in the Chicago area until moving to Redgranite 25 years ago. Chris worked as a machine operator at Alliance Laundry Systems in Ripon for 12 years until he retired in the beginning of August of this year.

Chris was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union of America Local 01327, District 2 and United Steelworkers Union Local 1327. He loved riding his Harleys and enjoying a cold Budweiser.

Survivors include his son, John (Beverly) Celosky of St. Petersburg, Florida, his daughter, Carol Henze (Terry Smalarz) of Tinley Park, Illinois; his grandchildren, Vinod Celosky of St. Ptersburg, Florida, Ryan Betlejeski, Katlyn and Kylie Henze, all of Tinley Park, Illinois; a step-daughter, Heather Wemmer of Milwaukee; 2 brothers, Joseph (Nancy) Celosky of Illinois, and Richard (Joanie) Celosky of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a sister, Shirley (Garlon) Peterson of Wild Rose. Chris is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his life-partner of 11 years, Julie Wemmer in 1993.

There will be a Memorial Visitation and time of sharing memories of Chris from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 3rd. at the Ruminski Funeral Home in Redgranite. There will be no formal Services.

Should friends desire, Memorials will be appreciated in place of flowers.
