Dec 31, 1925 - Oct 6, 2012
Margaret passed away peacefully into the Lord's presence while at Royal Columbian Hospital early in the morning of October 6th. In her later years, she was often treated at Royal Columbian Hospital, and the family would like to thank the hospital doctors and staff for their care through the years, as well as the many home care workers and neighbours, whose service and friendship enabled her to remain in the condo home that she loved so much.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Blair, and is survived by two sisters, Christina Stewart of White Rock BC and Alice (Stanley) Warnock of Penticton BC, by a stepson, Gordon (Shirley) Blair, granddaughter, Davida (Michael) Wilson, great-granddaughters, Laura and Michelle, and by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Margaret was born in New Westminster, BC, and lived her entire life in this community. She was a long-time employee of Riverview Hospital (Essondale), as was her late husband, Les.
"Aunt Marg," as she was called by many, was "always there" for family and neighbours, and was willing to assist in every way she could. She will also be remembered as a woman of strong faith who had full confidence of her hope in Christ.
Family and close friends will gather for a graveside service on Friday, November 2 at 2:30 PM at the Fraser Cemetery, 100 Richmond Street in New Westminster, and a tea will follow at the New Westminster Evangelical Free Church, 7895 Canada Way (at corner of 10th Ave.), Burnaby, BC.
