Gerald D. Keyte D.O.

KEYTE, GERALD D., D.O.; Kalamazoo, MI, formerly of Rochester, MI; passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013; at the age of 81, surrounded by his family in loving prayer. The loyal son of his departed parents Ben and Jessie Keyte, and caring brother of Susan Keyte, (San Francisco). Devoted husband of 54 years to the late Carolyn Ann (Lowry); dearest dad of Steven (Donna) Keyte, Cindy Keyte, Suzanne (Phil) Stenger, David (Mary) Keyte; cherished by his 12 grandchildren David, Lisa, Brianna, Bridget, Phillip, Shannon, Stephanie, Kathryn, Sheldon, Naomi, Thomas, Theresa; and great grandchild AnnMarie. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War boosting morale playing his saxophone in the military band. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He was ahead of his time in the practice of holistic medicine. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and caregivers. Visitation is at 11 a.m. with funeral service following at 12 Noon on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo. Interment will take place at a later date in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Troy.
