DOUGHERTY, BERNARD, "DOC"; age 61; of Davisburg; passed away peacefully on July 27, 2013 with his loving wife of 38 years Penny (Norris) Dougherty by his side. He was a Vietnam Veteran, volunteered for several years on the Springfield Twp. Fire Dept. and was a retired member of UAW Local 5960 Orion Assembly. Preceded in death by his twin brother, Jerry Dougherty; father and mother, John and Mary Dougherty; father-in-law, Ben Norris; and nephew, Stephen Roberts. Survived by his devoted wife, Penny; brothers, John (Colleen) and Kevin Dougherty; sister, Kathleen; mother-in-law, Lula Norris; sister-in-laws; brother-in-laws; several nieces; nephews; and great nieces and nephews who thought the world of him.
His wit, humor, kindness and love for his entire family will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Dinner to Celebrate His Life will be held at the
, 1148 N. Leroy St., Fenton, Mi. 48430 on Aug. 31st, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
