Donald James "D.J." Stoughton Obituary
STOUGHTON, DONALD JAMES. (D.J.); of Sylvan Lake; died peacefully with his family at his beside on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012, after a short illness; age 79. Beloved father of Steven John Stoughton and his wife, Paula, and David James Stoughton and his girlfriend, Deanne; dear grandfather of Jacquelyn Marie, Donovan James, and Devin Hassan; brother of Dale Stoughton, the late Alice, and the late Shirley; also cherished by his special friend, Jeanne Pannone; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Stoughton retired from General Motors Truck and Coach in 1987 and was a devoted member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Pontiac Waterford Elks Lodge #810 and was an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 1, 2012, 11 a.m. at the Central United Methodist Church, 3882 Highland Road, Waterford. Officiating Reverend Jim Kellermann. The family will receive friends Thursday 3 to 8 p.m. at the RIVERSIDE CHAPEL, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Memorials may be made to the Church. Online guestbook
