Edward John Monaghan Obituary
MONAGHAN, EDWARD JOHN; a much loved husband, father, brother, and uncle; age 67; of Rochester Hills, Michigan; passed away peacefully at his home December 8, 2012, with his family present. He bravely fought pancreatic cancer. He was born October 17, 1945 to Francis and Ellen (Cole) Monaghan. He graduated from St. James Catholic High School in 1964. He was in the United States Air Force, served in the Vietnam War and received an Honorable Discharge. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Monaghan; daughter, Heather Monaghan and husband, Doug Newport; sister, Colleen Barton (Sandy); brothers, Frank Monaghan and Richard Monaghan; nieces, Colleen, Jennifer, Kimberly, and Nichole; nephews, Derrick, Jim, Michael, and Todd; great nephews, Adam, Gabe, Kyle, Ryan, and Tyler; great nieces, Ava and Remi; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Monaghan; mother, Ellen (Cole) Monaghan; and brother, Thomas Monaghan. A Memorial Service will be held honoring Edward at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Boulevard Rochester MI 48307.
