Ward A. Stoddard

STODDARD, A. WARD; of Ortonville; formerly of Bloomfield Hills; died July 6, 2013; at 98 years of age. Loving husband of Betty and the late Muriel. Dear father of Karla (the late Jim) Lowery, Arthur Stoddard, Lisa Stoddard, Glen (Marlene) Stoddard and the late Sally Stoddard. Grandfather of 12; great grandfather of 11; brother of the late Mildred Godbee. Ward had a very illustrious career: VP of US Industries, Sr. VP Ziebart, and Director of Marketing Detrex Chemical Industries. He was a member of Forest Lake Country Club for over 50 years having served on the Board of Directors, President and Chairman of Entertainment. Ward had a great love for his children, grandchildren, many friends and a devoted wife. He was part of a musical family; he played the trombone in several fine bands and directed his own group for many years. He will be missed and remembered by the many people who appreciated his thoughtfulness and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Family will receive friends Tuesday 4 to 9 p.m. Ward will be cremated and interred at Lakeville Cemetery , Lakeville. To send a condolence go to
