DUNN, REV. FATHER JOHN; 89; formerly of Imlay City; died June 12, 2012; at Lourdes Nursing Home. John Francis Patrick Dunn was born December 28, 1922 in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Fr. Dunn served his country in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. He attended Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit and was ordained June 5, 1954 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs. He was priest at Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington, St. Joseph in Wyandotte, St. Rita in Detroit, St. Christine in Detroit and Sacred Heart in Imlay City from 1970 to 1995. St. Cornelius in Dryden was his mission Church. He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Marjorie) Dunn of Howell and Charles Dunn of Canada. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Sacred Heart of Imlay City. Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visiting 10 to 8 p.m. June 18, 2012 at St. Cornelius of Dryden and 10 to 8 p.m. June 19, 2012 at Sacred Heart of Imlay City. Funeral arrangements by Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
