William "Bill" Klein Jr. Obituary
KLEIN, WILLIAM "Bill" JR.; age 83; of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Highland, Michigan; passed away peacefully on January 26, 2013. Bill served in the United States Coast Guard for 21 years, retiring as a Petty Officer First Class Boatswain Mate. After retiring from the military he put his love of cars and auto repair together opening his own business, Klein's Auto Clinic, where he served the White Lake community until moving with his family to Sarasota, Florida in 1981. He had a life long passion for motorcycles and was a lifetime member of the Iron Mustangs Motorcycle Club in Detroit. During his active membership he served as President, Vice President and Treasurer numerous times. He was also a member of the Eagles, VFW, Elks, American Legion and the Moose Club. Bill attended Suncoast Community Church in Sarasota and enjoyed church services at the Pines of Sarasota where he resided until his death. Bill lost his beloved wife of 50 years, Donna Marie (Goodnough) Klein, in 2008. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Arthur, James, and Gerald (Jerry), and his parents; William Klein Sr. and Elsie (Gruenwald) Klein. Bill is survived by his six loving children; Scott Klein, Deanna Monaghan, Sherry Klein, Nadena (Paul) Klein-Kumagai, Roxanna (Paul) Borchert, and Regina Klein; his nine grandchildren whom he adored and was also blessed with nine wonderful great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. at the National Cremation Society Chapel, 2990 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida, followed by Coast Guard Military Honors for Bill and a Committal Service for both Bill and Donna from 3 to 3:30 p.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida, where they will remain together in a Columbarium Niche.
