FRENCH, WILLIAM DOAN; age 74; who passed away March 10, 2013. William (Bill) was born January 1, 1939 in Pontiac, MI. Son of Russell and Alta French. Graduated from Pontiac High School January of 1957. Served in
U.S. Marine Corp
. for 4 years. Married Sandra (Anable) May 7, 1960. Retired from
as a tinsmith in 1991. Spent next 21 years basking in the sunshine of Cape Coral FL. Bill lost his 14 year struggle with Parkinson Disease and is survived by his dedicated wife, Sandra (Anable) French and two children; daughter Nanette (French) Noonan (Jay) and granddaughter Gillian of Ortonville, MI; son Craig French and granddaughter Rebecca of Fort Myers, FL; special friend Duane Widley of Grand Blanc, MI and many others who offered much love, friendship and support over the years. Service will be held at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 6805 Bluegrass Drive, Clarkston, MI, Wednesday March 20, 2013. Family will receive friends at the church from 10 am to 12 with Memorial Funeral at 12 Noon. Lunch to follow. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly MI. Donations can be made to Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Memory of William French.
