
Michael Henson Michael, beloved husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson and friend, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2012. He was born in Spokane, WA on April 22, 1982 to Cheri Kubu. He was selflessly given to his devoted parents, Vern and Bette (Palmer) Henson who raised him and his brother, Patrick, in and around Olympia, WA. He was a graduate of Tumwater High School, Pacific Lutheran University and the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Karlskrona, Sweden). Michael's soul soars high because of his generous spirit of giving himself to human rights advocacy, environmental awareness, and dedication to the Rainbow City Band, the Northwest Network and to his Holden family. He was a champion of love, acceptance and equality. We will all be better people because of him. Michael was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Diana and Deborah, brother Christopher, sister Pamela, and brother Patrick. He is survived by his husband, the love of his life and soul-mate Stephen Nash, his parents, his nephew Kaeden Henson, Kaeden's mother Jena Brocious, his grandmother Wasalea Henson of Homedale, ID and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at All Pilgrim's Christian Church, 500 Broadway East in Seattle. His funeral will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Mills and Mills, 5725 Littlerock Rd SW in Tumwater. Services will begin at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home.
