Charlie Engelmann Obituary
Charlie (Chuck) Engelmann passed away on March 5, 2011. He was born November 20, 1919 to Jacob and Lura Engelmann in Albany Oregon. He married Jeane Linderson in 1940. Jeane passed away in 1978. He and Jeane have four children Elizabeth Kartman, Pamela Sinks(Jack), and Mary Maxion (Johnny) all of Olympia, and son David (Valerie) of Kissimmee, Florida. In 1985 he married Helen Sundberg, and they have enjoyed 25 years of traveling, hunting and fishing. He also had 4 step-children Nicolina Musslewhite, Ronald Sundberg (Becky), Susan Carpenter (Denny), and Lori Bailey (Alan), 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Charlie served in the Navy during WWII on the USS Cliffrose as a carpenter's mate. Following his discharge he became a construction superintendent and later founded C.W. Engelmann Construction Inc., and built schools and many commercial buildings in Western Washington and Alaska.
Services will be held Thursday March 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Mills & Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater, followed by internment at the Tumwater Masonic Cemetery .
Charlie loved animals, and memorials may be made in his honor to the Thurston County Humane Society or charitable organization of choice.

AND FOR THOSE WHO REMEMBER THE OLD TIMERS SURELY CHUCK WAS ONE OF THEM. I ENJOYED AS A KID WORKING ON HIS JOBS WITH DAD ..BEING UNDER AGED LIKE TEN YEARS OLD NEVER HURT A THING. FOURTY YEARS LATER I WAS ASKED TO HELP TRIM HIS TREES AND TO A DELIGHT THAT WAS. HE SHARED SOME STORIES WITH ME THAT I WILL REMEMBER ALL THE REST OF MY LIFE TOO...HE WAS A GOOD MAN AND A DANG GOOD CARPENTER. BLESS HIS HEART AND MAY THE LORD JESUS BE WITH HIM AND ALL THE OLD TIMERS TOGETHER THEY CAN PREPARE THAT NEW HEAVEN FOR US TO JOIN. THANKS FOR BEING A FRIEND CHUCK...
