Her body lies still, quiet as if asleep.
Remember her full life; don't cry and weep.
Life perhaps isn't fair, and Death even less,
I don't understand it, I must confess.
We fleetingly exist, experience joy and pain;
Then mourn our losses, rail and complain...
But what would she want, if she were alive?
Would she want us to wallow, just barely survive?
Would she want more? Perhaps our courage -
To overcome grief and its cruel bondage!
Let's honour her and look forward with hope,
Remember her life and learn to cope.
With this loss as a tool to sculpt future goals -
Not as an anchor weighing down our souls.
Celebrate her life - always reminisce with a grin!
Then Death will have lost - and we will win!
Those we love don't go away,?
They're there beside us every day,?
Unseen, unheard, but always near,?
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
