Alice LaVonne

Hutchins
Alice LaVonne Hutchins died on Friday, March 4, 2011. She was born on November 3, 1928 in Bowbells, North Dakota. She moved to Raymond, Washington when she was 7, and graduated from Raymond High School in 1946. She married Charles Hutchins on January 25, 1964 and had a wonderful 45 years of marriage until his death in 2009. She and Charles lived in South Bend, Washington until their move to Olympia in 1996. While in South Bend, she was a member of the Faith Guild of First Lutheran Church, and was also a member of the Propylaeum Club. Alice enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and being with her family whenever possible. She is survived by a son, Jerry Schneider of Olympia; a daughter, Joan Friel (Mike) of Renton; two sisters, Pat Wood and Ann Bridges, both of Olympia; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Hamlin (Kevin) of Cornelius, North Carolina; Mark Schneider (Elizabeth) of Mansfield, Ohio; Megan Friel and Michael Friel of Renton; and 4 great-grandchildren, Grace, Kohen, Matthew, and Jonathan.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1515 Harrison Ave. NW, Olympia. Memorials may be made to Gloria Dei.
