Andy was the consumate thrill seeker, and an artful character that always met the road with his knees, hands, legs, face, etc. He wore those scabs with a smile and like a badge of honor! His smile was heartwarming, endearing and could melt away any tear his children ever had in an instant with a stretch of his arms up to the sky and into the air. The unbelievable
resemblance of those sparkly blues in the eyes of his children will forever remain as they see the world with their courageous and loving Mother by their side to instill the memory of their loving Father who has been lost but never forgotten to them. The hole that has been left in her heart will be filled with the everlasting enchantment and wonder of Talis and Merrick who are the loves of her life and every day she can thank God for his tender mercies when she looks at them. I love you all.

Andy also had a second family, those who chose him as a son (Ken & Ellen Irwin), shared son (Patti McClelland), brother (Kacey & Lindsey), grandson (Ted & Phyllis Clark), brother-in-law (Steve Rowe & Jake Early), uncle (Hayden,Dylan, and Isobelle), nephew (Bill & Debbie Meyer, Wm. & Sally Irwin, Sam Irwin, and Ken & Betty Guthrie), and cousin (Brad, Jeff, Ryan, Chad, Kim, Will, Tim and Joy). But most of all, and, most importantly, husband and father to Courtney, Talis and Merrick - whom he often referred to as the air he breathed. He owned our hearts fiercely, and forever will. Every night before bedtime, we have to "tell a story about daddy". Every holiday, every birthday, every thought of Courtney being a widow at 28, every glance at Talis and Merrick - seeing so much of him in them - we expreience his loss all over again. He lives with us every day, is talked to every day, and is cherished every second of every day. Our lives will never, ever be the same without him, and have been immeasurably enriched because of him. God, please make him understand how very, very worthwhile he was here on earth, and how all of our lives and hearts became bigger and better because of him.

Andy will be so very much missed. He had such a way with people and everyone that ever came in contact with him was touched by him.
We remember watching him grow from a happy kid to an upstanding young man and great father. We so enjoyed bowling with him and Dwight so cherishes the Alaska trip spent with Ron, Andy and Chris.
So many hearts are weeping at his untimely departure, but so many memories of him will always fill all our hearts.
Our most heartfelt thoughts go out to his children, his dad, his brothers and to Ron. You all meant the world to him. We are so deeply sorry for your enormous loss.
Andy, enjoy your wings!!!!

Andy was like the older brother in my life that I was not born having. We bowled in the youth leagues together. Andy will always be one of my role models in my life.

My prayers are filled with the Canfield family (Rob, Sam, Warren, Wes) who I consider to be family and always will be welcome in my home as well as my helping hands are always available for them!

I will always look to the skies for Andy with his love of sky diving & forever, I will see him smiling down on us all with a parachute as his wings in heaven!
