Arthur W. Hahn

Arthur W. Hahn, 75, passed away on February 22, 2011. following complications from a cardiac arrest.
Arthur was born on January 1, 1936 in Dresden, North Dakota. He spent his early years on the family farm in Langdon, North Dakota. After graduating from Langdon High School Arthur attended North Dakota State University where he obtained a degree in civil engineering. After graduation Arthur moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he met the love of his life, Carol "Kicky" Bethune. Arthur and Kicky were married on December 29, 1962 in Proctor, Minnesota. Arthur's career took them across the country eventually settling in Tumwater, Washington in 1979. In 2006 Arthur retired from the Washington State Department of Transportation. He spent the last five years enjoying time with family and friends, weekend getaways to the Oregon Coast, tinkering on projects in his shop, and time spent on the computer.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Annie; and his sister, Joan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kicky; son, David; daughter, Kathy, son-inlaw Chris; and grandson, Joshua, who brought a special joy to his life in recent years. He is also survived by sisters, Doris, Lois, Clara, Karen, and Ruthie; and brothers, Bob and Dick.
Arthur was a man of God and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. At Arthur's request there is no memorial service. The family respect-fully requests that donations be made in Arthur's honor to Make A Wish Foundation or HEED Uganda.
