I knew Bonita through her work at Evergreen and remember her fondly. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone and tried her best to help the students. I loved to come and sit in her office and chat. She was always the kind of person who made time for you. Often a rare things these days.

Bonita was like a mother to many of us in the graduate programs at TESC. She was always helpful, and caring in a very personal way. she took interest in who we awere as people. To me she made all the difference in the world, turning an institutional experience into something very personal and family-like. Bonita gave me love and I loved her back, very much. I have missed her over the years and will continue to miss her. She was pure light . . . and oh that smile . . .

She was a good friend, an admired leader, and a gentle soul who possessed a generous heart. I will never forget her and the stories she shared with me.

My deepest sympathies to Bonnie's family. Bonnie and I worked together for a number of years in the MES program at Evergreen, and she invariably offered a delightful sense of humor and a smile. I relied on her excellent insights and wisdom, and I know that many students, staff, and faculty did the same. She was a person many people will remember with great fondness.

Dear Family of Bonnie Evans - I met Bonnie through her involvements with the larger church community. She touched many lives, by her generous welcome into her home and yard, sharing her life, faith, food and experience. Her influence and care ripple out through generations you may never know. And so her legacy continues blessing.

Jim, Mary and all,

I truly know what you're going through. I can tell that Bonnie was a loving mother, wife and friend. I can tell by the way Jim is and what a fine man he is; he had a great teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with during this difficult time.

I believe this is the Bonnie Evans who worked as an administrative assistant for the MPA program at Evergreen. She directed me and my program partner to work with a Lutheran church that received a house donation to further the ministry.
