Clarence Pritchett Obituary

Clarence E. Pritchett

Clarence E. "Clancy" Pritchett died peacefully on February 5, 2011 surrounded by family members. He was born on November 26, 1919 in Buchanan, Michigan to Walter and Molly Belle (Coomer) Pritchett.
Clancy joined the Marine Corps into active duty April 30, 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946 in Seattle WA. During his tour of duty he served in the Pacific Theater in the amphibious corps. Following his discharged Clancy stayed in Seattle and continued his newspaper career at the Seattle Times. He started work as a printer and worked his way up to Production Manager with 1600 loyal employees under his supervision. He retired at the age of 59 after 30 years.
Throughout his life, Clancy entertained many audiences singing and playing his guitar and harmonica. Music was always an important part of his life. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and great- great grandfather, always cherishing his family.
Surviving Clancy are his daughter, Linda Bradshaw of Danville, KY; son, Bryan Pritchett, Snohomish, WA; step-daughter, P. Jean Hughes of Everett, WA; step-son, Larry Hill of Seattle, WA; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; and his close and loving companion of many years, Isabelle Bateman of Lacey, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis and a grandson, Bryan Andrew Pritchett.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1925 Boulevard Rd SE, Olympia, WA 98501.
