Gladys June (Carter) McPherson

June was born Dec. 15th, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Arthur and Ruth (Kneale) Carter. She spent most of her adult life in Bucoda, Tenino, and Olympia, WA. June passed away May 22nd, 2011 at Trinity Adult Care Home in Lacey, WA after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by children James Carter, Colleen (Melvin) Edge, Robert McPherson, and Kathleen (Dirk) Brown, five stepchildren, Tom (Ruth) McPherson Jr, Bob (Jeanette) McPherson, Frank (Tammy) McPherson, Pat (Marilyn) McPherson, and Sandra (Michael) Orr, her sisters Betty (Earl) Carpenter and Caroline Douhan, and her brother Norman Carter. June was preceded in death by her parents sons Rodney McPherson and Carl Carter, former husbands Ralph Carter and Tom McPherson Sr., brothers Homer, Grover, and Jim, and sister Vivian (Carter) Jaquay. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren. June willed her body to the UW School of Medicine to help further in the medical field. As a Nurse she felt very positive about this choice. Please join us in a memorial service for June a First Presbyterian Church, 196 Central Ave E., Tenino, WA, June 6th, 2011, at 2:30 PM. In her memory please make donation to the American Cancer Society.

My dearest cousins, my heart is heavy knowing Aunt June isn't here but my heart is light knowing that I got to see her and talk to her and that she is no longer in pain. She is with other family that we have sent home and they are joyous. God Bless you all!
